RAIN BARREL WORKSHOP

Picture
Stormwater management is an increasingly important issue. To respond to this need, the Athens Soil and Water Conservation District will once again be offering Rain Barrel Workshops in 2022.

The second workshop will be held on May 25, 2022 at 6:30 pm at the Ag / Natural Resources Building on the Athens County Fairgrounds. The workshop will cover the need for stormwater management, the ‘issues and answers’ as well as the construction and assembly of a DIY rain barrel. The workshop is free but those wishing to take home a barrel ready for installation will need to pay a materials fee of $50 plus tax for each barrel requested.

Pre-registration is required as we will need to secure the necessary materials before the event. To pre-register contact the Athens Soil and Water Conservation District office at 740-797-9686 or email at teresacaldwell@athensswcd.org by Tuesday, May 24th.
