Fish are guaranteed to be delivered in good condition, however, we cannot guarantee survival after being picked up.

WHAT TO BRING:
- Bring 5 gallon buckets to hold your fish.
- Line container with non-deodorized plastic liner (30 gallon trash bag). Fill the bucket, 1/3 full, with your pond water. Use a twist tie or twine to close the bag; not a lid.
- THE BAGS ARE NECESSARY TO HOLD OXYGEN TO KEEP THE FISH ALIVE DURING TRANSPORT.
- General rule of thumb: 1 container per 100 small fish, 1 container per 1,000 minnows, 1 container per 4-5 large fish.
- Orders are not pre-packaged and will be filled upon arrival.
Tax Exempt Form
Required by the state beginning January 1, 2022, Athens SWCD will be charging sales tax (7.25%) for items rented and sold. If you are a tax-exempt entity and you purchase or rent items from the District, please turn your tax-exempt form into the office.

Fingerling Information
Fathead Minnow - $9.00 per 100 each
1-3” fingerling - a forage fish; can grow to 3”; readily consumed by predatory species Hybrid Bluegill - $1.10 each 2-4” fingerling - a forage and sport fish; known for their rapid growth to 10”; the primary prey of largemouth bass Redear Shellcracker - $1.10 each 2-4”- closely related to the bluegill; popular pan fish; can grow up to 11”; eats snails, crayfish and small fish Largemouth Bass - $1.40 each 2-3” fingerling - primarily a sport fish; can grow over 25” and 14 lbs.; ravenous predatory feeder; will eat anything that fits in mouth Channel Catfish - $0.90 each 4-5” fingerling - a sport and food fish; spawns are forage for bass; can grow up to 14”; easier to catch after a hard rain |
Bluegill - $1.10 each
